The Gulf of Guayaquil is one of the few remaining mangroves forests that still survive in the world, with its remarkable importance for biodiversity and conservation.
It is located just 80 minutes from Guayaquil and is recognized as a paradise for bird-watching. This location has three attractions:
• ESTUARY ROUTE: A place where we enjoy the wildlife of the estuary. The mangrove ecosystem and its importance, the interaction between plants, crabs and birds. A place where we can see dozens of species of birds in their natural habitat.

• CERRO DEL MUERTO Birdwatching and Dry mountain climb This spot offers an opportunity for: A short trail walk up a rock will grant us the most awesome views, there´s a lagoon nearby where we have an interesting birds population OR
We can spend some time at the beach exploring the traditions of the local fishermen and also swimming for a while

• COCOA FARM: Witness the making of chocolate from cocoa beans and we will have a pleasant afternoon of experiential tourism. Enjoy a delicious traditional Ecuadorian food in a rustic cottage.

• Seco de gallina ( chicken stew ecuadorian recipe) - this is traditional chicken stew with local spices (not hot spices nor too spicy) this is a traditional every day meal in Ecuador
• Chocolate cake, or chocolate bars or chocolate bathed fresh fruits - Since this is s chocolate fram the dessert will be chocolate related
• Fresh tropical fruits directly from the tree to the mouth - We will walk through the farm harvesting and sampling a wide variety of tropical fruits. Paya mango pineapple and many others
