Royal Thai Monastery.With the aim of spreading the messages of Lord Buddha and principles of Buddhism among the masses, some Buddhist monks in collaboration with the government of Thailand established the Thai Temple and Monastery in Gaya in the year 1957. A fine example of Thai architecture, this beautiful site displays myriad colours of Thai culture and tradition.Inside the temple, you can see an enormous Bronze statue of Buddha surrounded by equally beautiful paintings of him.

Indosan Nippon Japanese Temple. This temple was built in 1972 with the help of International Buddhist communities. The structure of the temple is carved out of wood and it looks like a Japanese shrine. It showcases a lot of Japanese paintings which narrate events from the life of Gautam Buddha.

Stop At: Great Buddha Statue Road Daijokyo Buddhist Temple, Bodh Gaya India

The Great Buddha Statue popularly known as 80’ Buddha Statue was unveiled and consecrated on November 18, 1989 with a ceremony graced with the presence of His Holiness the XIV the Dalai Lama, who blessed the 25-meter statue. It was the first great Buddha statue built in the modern history of India. The statue is situated next to Mahabohdi Temple at Bodhgaya. Under the slogan "Spread Buddha's rays to the Whole World," Daijokyo spent seven years on construction of the Great Buddha Statue.It is a 25-meter statue of Buddha- first ever built in the history of India. The Statue is a symbol of the holy place Bodhgaya and enjoys constant visits from pilgrims from all over the world. Among local people, it is nicknamed ‘The 80-foot Buddha Statue’.

The Metta Buddharam Temple is a Thai temple situated at Bodhgaya. The temple is appealing with an outer shell of stainless steel and a decorative mosaic using mirrors. The temple sees the Thai Temple style of architecture. The main temple floor is made of wood. Underneath the temple is the marble-floored meditation room offering a perfect environment to the devotees for meditation.
