Explore the Langtang valley located in the north of Kathmandu, lies at the south of the Tibetan border and situated between the main Himalayan range to the north and a slightly lower range of snowy peaks to the south. The valley is surrounded by Langtang Lirung (7246m) to the north, Gang Chhenpo (6388m) and Naya Kanga (5846m) to the south and Dorje Lakpa (6966m) towards the East. Stand in awe as you gaze at the majesty of snow-capped mountains and glittering glaciers.
Experience one of the most diverse eco-systems in the Himalaya as we trek through the second largest national park in Nepal - Langtang National Park.

Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Kathmandu. Arrival Kathmandu 1350m and transfer to the Hotel.

Stop At: Kathmandu, Kathmandu, Kathmandu Valley, Bagmati Zone, Central Region
Kathmandu arrival at 1350m. The local representative will transfer you to your hotel. A welcome drink in the evening followed by a trip briefing and excellent local cuisine

Day 2: Private Guided Sightseeing tour of Kathmandu’s Cultural Sites

Stop At: Kathmandu, Kathmandu, Kathmandu Valley, Bagmati Zone, Central Region
Today enjoy your full-day, private sightseeing tour with English speaking guide to Kathmandu's cultural, religious and historical UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Explore the cultural diversity of Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath Stupa and Kathmandu Durbar Square.

Day 3: Travel from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1467m)

Stop At: Langtang National Park, Langtang National Park, Bagmati Zone, Central Region
We wake bright and early and board the local Kathmandu to Syabrubesi bus for our journey northward. Here the mostly unpaved road winds through scenic foothills with ridge-line vistas as we slowly make our way to Syabrubesi, a small town inside Langtang National Park and a popular stop for those going to Tibet or on a Langtang Valley trek. (Boxed Breakfast)

Day 4: Trek to Lama Hotel (2470m)

Stop At: Langtang National Park, Langtang National Park, Bagmati Zone, Central Region
Today, as our Langtang Valley trek begins, the trail gradually ascends through scenic forest to Landslide (1810m) and continues with a gentle rise to Bamboo (1960m) through to Rimche (2400m) where we cross the Langtang Khola and begin the steep ascent to the lovely Lama Hotel, a popular meeting point for trekkers, hidden deep within dense primordial forest.

Day 5: Trek to Langtang village (3430m)

Stop At: Langtang National Park, Langtang National Park, Bagmati Zone, Central Region
Today, as we continue following the Langtang Valley trekking route, we pass through verdant oak, pine and rhododendron forest with waterfalls along the way. Our first glimpse of the Langtang Himalaya comes when we reach the lush green meadows of Ghoda Tabela. Continuing on, the valley gradually widens and we arrive at our destination - Langtang village, one the largest villages on our trek, still rebuilding from the 2015 earthquakes.

Day 6: Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3870m)

Stop At: Langtang National Park, Langtang National Park, Bagmati Zone, Central Region
Today, as our 8 day Langtang Valley trek continues, the trail climbs gradually through quaint villages and rolling green pasture. Trekking onward the valley opens before us offering breathtaking views to Kyanjin and a long dramatic look back over the Langtang Valley. Named after the centuries-old Buddhist monastery Kyanjin Gompa, the village of Kyanjin, surrounded by snowcapped mountains, is the perfect resting point for trekkers and offers an abundance of side trips for you to explore.

Stop At: Kyanjin Gompa, Langtang National Park 44600 Nepal
After arriving we take lunch and go for a village tour, we also visit the Cheese factory established in the 1950s.

Day 7: Kyanjin Gompa- Free day to look around

Stop At: Kyanjin Gompa, Langtang National Park 44600 Nepal
Today we are free to explore one of the many side trips available from Kyanjin. Witness the sunrise over the mighty Langtang Himalayan range from Kyanjin Ri (4700) or Tsergo Ri (4980m) or take an invigorating hike to witness the grandeur of Langtang's many dramatic glaciers or choose the six-hour round trip trek to Langsisha Ri viewpoint for unparalleled mountain views.

Day 8: Trek back to Lama Hotel - 2490m

Stop At: Langtang National Park, Langtang National Park, Bagmati Zone, Central Region
We wake bright and refreshed
ready to retrace the Langtang Valley trekking route along the Langtang Khola to Langtang village and on to Ghoda Tabela where we will enjoy a relaxing lunch break. From here we continue our steep descent through the dense bio-diverse forest to the charming Lama Hotel where we will overnight.

Day 9: Trek down to Syabru Besi [2000m]

Stop At: Langtang National Park, Langtang National Park, Bagmati Zone, Central Region
After a hearty breakfast, we are ready to begin the final leg of this enchanted Langtang Valley trek. Arriving back in Syabrubesi the undulating path allows us one long last look into the culture and customs of the local Tamang community. Spend the rest of the day chilling and delight in the memories of the breathtaking beauty found on this Langtang Valley short trek.

Day 10: Drive back to Kathmandu

Stop At: Kathmandu Valley, Kathmandu Valley, Bagmati Zone, Central Region
After an early breakfast, we board the local bus from Syabrubesit to Kathmandu, winding our way slowly through scenic foothills and river valleys. (8 Hours)
Upon arrival in Kathmandu, we will transfer you to your hotel where you can relax and savor the memories of your incredible Langtang Valley Trek.
