Day 1: Fes-ifran [the Swiss city]-monkey forest-la Valle de ziz-merzouga

Stop At: Merzouga, Merzouga, Draa-Tafilalet
Your tour begins in the morning when your experienced driver picks you up from your hotel or riad and takes you to Merzouga in the Sahara Desert, where the Erg Chebbi dunes await, stretching east to Algeria. This is one of Morocco's must-do experiences. But first, enjoy the thrill of a trip to the majestic Atlas Mountains, where your first stop will be in Ifrane, nicknamed Morocco's Switzerland because of its alpine architecture. The next stop is in the fragrant cedar forests around the peaceful village of Azrou, where you can see the Barbary apes, or macaque monkeys, living contentedly in their natural habitat and always ready to grab your lunch! The beautiful journey continues through the mountains until you reach Midelt for lunch (a city known as the apple capital). En route, stop for a moment to take photos of the Ziz Valley

Relax listening to traditional Berber music and gazing at the magnificent moon and countless stars that seem so close you could touch them. Wake up to a spectacular dawn over the dunes and return your camel to our hotel through the shifting shadows. The trek back to Fes via the mighty Middle Atlas Mountains begins after breakfast. Note that along the journey we will make a few short stops.
