Ghormu is a small village located in Rasuwa north of Kathmandu. It is located 1700 meters above sea level at the entrance to Langtang National Park. Located 110 km from Kathmandu, it takes 4 hours by bus then 2 to 3 hours on foot to get there. There, we have a small guesthouse to welcome you. Nepalese meals will be served to you such as Dal bhat, dhindo, sisno etc. The majority of the inhabitants are Tamang: their language, their culture, their social relations, their daily life, their profession and the atmosphere represent a lot of wealth in this village. You will be able to see the small school that the association Little World Nepal France has been helping for several years. Spending 2, 3 or more nights in this village will allow you to share the daily life of its villagers.

Itinerary

Day 1: Kathmandu - Ghormu

Stop At: Au Coeur Du Nepal Treks and Expedition, Chhetrapati JP Street, Kathmandu 44600 Nepal
Our jeep will arrive at our meeting point. We take your breakfast in your hotel then you take the jeep. Our guide will guide you to the destination.

Day 2: Day with the people in village.

Stop At: Ghormu primary school, 2763+3PW, Bhorle 45000, Nepal
You take your breakfast in your guest house then our guide takes you to the school. You will interact with the teachers and you will observe how the children study in a mountain.

Day 3: Hike to the village of nomads

Stop At: Ghormu primary school, 2763+3PW, Bhorle 45000, Nepal
Our cook prepares local breakfast like Tibetan bread and potatoes. You will serve it with tea or coffee. Then our guide will take you to the village of nomads. You should walk around 3 hours to go and 2 hours to come back. As you arrive in the village of nomads, you will observe the real lifestyle of the Nepali people. Our guide will organize a picnic for lunch.

Day 4: Ghormu - Kathmandu

Stop At: Kathmandu, Kathmandu, Kathmandu Valley, Bagmati Zone, Central Region
Like always, you will be served Nepali local breakfast in the morning before you leave for Kathmandu. You will have to walk about 2 hours to meet our private jeep. Our local guide and team members will help you to bring back your luggage. You will take lunch on the way and you will take your dinner at your hotel in Thamel.
