With your guide at hand, you will visit the most recognizable sight in Dublin, the cast iron arch spanning the Liffey River since 1816. It was the city’s first pedestrian bridge and remained the only footbridge in Dublin until the Millennial Bridge opened in 1999. This is a perfect spot for a great photo of the north & south side of Dublin and to view the River Liffey, the most famous river in Ireland.

Stop At: The Liberties, Meath Street, Dublin D8 Ireland

Walk through one of the most historic neighborhoods of Dublin. Having grown out of a 12th-century suburb of Viking Dublin, this is one of the capital’s oldest districts. It was officially designated a ‘liberty’ after the Anglo-Norman invasion; this meant that it was considered part of the city but allowed to retain its own structure of local government. At that time, the area lay outside of the Medieval city walls, where still today a segment of the original wall still stands.
