The Mahabodhi Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is an ancient, but much rebuilt and restored, Buddhist temple in Bodh Gaya, marking the location where the Buddha is said to have attained enlightenment. The Bodhi Tree is inside the temple premises. Mobile phone or any other gadgets are not allowed to carry inside which can be kept at the mobile locker free of cost near the entrance gate. Camera is allowed at an extra charge.

Stop At: Great Buddha Statue Road Daijokyo Buddhist Temple, Bodh Gaya India

The Giant Buddha statue is one of the many stops in the Buddhist pilgrimage and tourist routes in Bodhgaya, Bihar (India). The statue is 19.507 m (64.00 ft) high in meditation pose or dhyana mudra seated on a lotus in open air.The total height of the architecture is 80 ft with statue of 64 ft, lotus on which statue sits is of 6ft and the lower pedestal is of 10ft. It took seven years to complete with the help of 12,000 masons. It is a mix of sandstone blocks and red granite.[3] It is possibly the largest built in India and was consecrated on 18 November 1989 by the's 14th Dalai Lama.

Vishnupad Temple (temple of Vishnu's feet) is an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu in Gaya, Bihar, India, located on the banks of Phalgu river.The temple is believed to be built upon the site where Vishnu had purportedly killed the demon Gayasura or pinned him underground. The temple features a 40-cm footprint purported to be of Lord Vishnu incised into a block of basalt, known as Dharmasila which was retained when the deity stepped on Gayasura's chest before pinning him underground.
