Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech _ Agdez

Pass By: Agdz, Agdz, Souss-Massa
Overnight at a guesthouse en route to the desert. This is either a 6-hour drive to the guesthouse of ( Dar Amazir Agdez ) in the Draa Valley. The route is via the High Atlas Mountains and Tizi n’Tichka pass (alt. 2300 m) and the Ounila Valley, full of ancient villages and kasbahs.

Day 2: Agdez _ Erg Chigaga

Pass By: M'Hamid, M'Hamid, Souss-Massa
It’s a 5-hour drive through the Draa Valley (home to 3 million date palms and hundreds of kasbahs), Zagora, Tamegroute (famous for its green-glazed pottery and ancient Koranic library), M’Hamid (where the tar road ends and the Sahara begins) start drive off road to Erg Chigaga desert tour. There are plenty of activities for those that either want to remain at the camp or venture into the desert. Night under the stars in your desert camp, local music around the fire.

Day 3: Erg Chigaga _ Marrakech

Pass By: M'Hamid, M'Hamid, Souss-Massa
On the last day after breakfast in your Erg Chigaga desert camp, then remote than the route to the desert. The return trip is via Foum Zguid (3-hour drive though the desert), Tazenakht (known for its rugs) and then back over the Tizi n’Tichka pass.
Later on the evening end your Erg Chigaga desert excursion in Marrakech
