Description
What could be better than an active morning of birding followed by a couple of cold beers at a local brewery? On this adventure, Birding Man will take you to a suburban oasis in southwest Denver where over 365 species of birds have been recorded! In the winter, one can regularly find Golden Eagle, Bald Eagle, Ferruginous Hawk, Northern Harrier, Rough-legged Hawk, Prairie Falcon, American Kestrel, along with a variety of interesting waterfowl and gulls. Throughout the tour, you'll learn about the altered hydrology of the area and why its proven to be an important stopover area for migratory shorebirds.
After lunch, we'll check a few more spots for birds on our way over to one of our favorite microbreweries in town. Try some Colorado craft beers and leave the driving up to us.
