On this day tour of Tangier, you will discover both the new city and its surroundings in addition to its oldest quarters.
Start the tour with a drive through the newest avenues until you arrive to the California zone where the Royal palace is located. Have a stop at Cap Spartel, the point where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean and then a visit of the Caves of Hercules.
Head to the kasbah dating from the 15th century and have a walk through its streets that have many stories to tell and visit its museum that was a Palace of Moroccan Sultans since the 17th century.
Have a stop for lunch (optional) in a traditional restaurant before heading to the old Medina and walk through its narrow alleyways and its vibrant markets. Visit the Mendoubia gardens, the Grand Socco and its food market before ending the tour either with some free time for shopping or sipping mint tea in one of the legendary cafés of Petit Socco.

The point where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean.

Stop At: Hercules Cave, Cap Spartel, Tangier 90060 Morocco

The Cave dates from the neolithic age and has many stories to tell

Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Tangier Casbah, Place de la Kasbah, Tangier 90000 Morocco

Built uphill and facing the strait of Gibraltar, the Casbah was built in the 15th century. We will walk through its beautiful streets painted in white and blue and decorated with flowers and street paintings.

Stop At: Musee de la Kasbah, El Casbah Square, Tangier Morocco

Once a residence of the Moroccan Sultans during the 17th century, the building is currently a museum with manu remains dating from prehistory.
The muesum is closed on Tuesdays

The beautiful garden is located behind the building that used to be a residence of the representative of the Sultan in Tangier when the city was an international zone ruled by 7 countries in addition to Morocco.

Also called Grand Socco, this area is famous for the speach of the Sultan Mohammed V on 1947 declaring Tangier as part of Morocco and asking for independence.

Stop At: Medina of Tangier, Tangier Morocco

The Medina refers to the city center. We will walk through its narrow alleyways, watch the special architecture of its buildings and meet the locals going and coming, doing their daily activities.

Stop At: Petit Socco, Tangier Morocco

Located in the heart of the Medina, Petit Scocco is know for its legendary cafés like Café Central and Café Tingis
