The municipality of Guatapé is located 79 km. from the city of Medellin in eastern Antioqueño, tourist destination with its attractions: Peñón de Guatapé, stone mole with 220 m. High that to ascend it it requires to exceed more than 700 scales; Peñol Guatapé Reservoir, with 2.262 hectares of land flooded to give way to one of the most important hydroelectric in the country; taxed in the baseboards of the façades of the residences and other buildings representing traditions and colors.
