In this excursion you discover several places in one day the valley of souss massa, the village of sinners, the city of Tiznit, the dam of Prince Moluay Youssef, the small desert and contact the Berber inhabitants to taste the real Moroccan cuisine

(The name “Berber” comes from the Greek word “Barbaros” which designated a foreign person in the sense that they did not speak the Greek language… It was the Romans who gave the name Berber to this people in part: the Berber people. However, the Berber people prefer the name “Amazigh” which means “Free Man”.)

Itinerary

Stop At: Tiznit, Tiznit, Souss-Massa

Then a historical visit of the old medina of Tiznit known as the silver city.

To visit the fortified rampart of the Medina.

The city was founded in 1882 during the reign of Mawlāy Hassan as a military base.

from where he launched expeditions to subjugate the peoples of the region of the Sous River (Oued Sous) and the neighboring mountainous regions.

Then watch the making of Berber silver jewelry.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Barrage Youssef Ibn Tachfine, Oued Massa, Massa Morocco

The dam of the Youssef Ibn Tachfin dam, 707 meters long, has created an artificial lake but the impression of freshness is not necessarily there in this hot region of southern Morocco. Leaning on the edges of the Anti-Atlas, the dam is 85 meters high: a beautiful structure installed on one of the arms of the Massa wadi.
The lake stretches beautifully over seven kilometers in length: this water reserve is intended to irrigate the Chtouka plain, which receives little rainfall, to grow vegetables and citrus fruit there, as in the neighboring Souss plain.
