Stop At: Charminar Road Char Lamar, Hyderabad 500002 India

The live online tour of Old City Hyderabad begins at Charminar, a monument that is symbolic of the city. It was built in 1591 by Mohammed Quli Qutb Shahi, the fifth sultan of the Qutub Shahi dynasty to commemorate the end of a deadly plague attack on the city. Our guide will enthrall you with legends and folk lore about this masterpiece.

Stop At: Mecca Masjid, Charminar Rd Charminar, Ghansi Bazaar, Hyderabad 500002 India

We next walk to Mecca Masjid which is one of the oldest mosques in India. The foundation stone was laid by Muhammad Quli Qutub Shah, the fifth ruler of Qutub Shahi dynasty. The bricks used to build the mosque have been made from soil sourced from Mecca! This magnificent mosque can accommodate more than 10000 people.

The Nizams ruled over Hyderabad when it was one of the world’s richest states. Diamonds were the real source if wealth if Hyderabad. Until 1900s, Golkonda in India was the only place in the world where diamonds were mined. We will talk about 2 incredible diamonds from Golconda, the Kohinoor and Jacob’s.

Stop At: Laad Bazaar, Hyderabad 500002 India

We reach the famous Laad bazaar of the Old City. This ancient bazaar is famous for bangles, perfumes, laces, and bridalwear. The Pearl market is also very popular. We will take a walk across all the spectacular shops.

Stop At: Gulzar Houz, Charminar Shehran, Irani Gali, Hyderabad 500002 India

Gulzar Houz is the most famous fountain of Hyderabad. It is an octagonal shaped structure built as a water reservoir for the Nizam’s army.

Stop At: Char Kaman, Ghansi Bazaar, Hyderabad, Telangana, India

Char Kaman is a set of 4 majestic arches which are designed like an enclosure for the square which houses the royal Palaces. Built again by Quli Qutb Shah. The symmetry in the design of Char Kaman is impressive with each of the 4 arches equidistant from each other and Gulzar Houz being right in the center.
