There are several sites around the Middle East that claim to be "Mount Horeb" or “Mount Sinai” but no location has as much amazing evidence to back up such claims as Jebal Maqla and it's suroundings in Saudi Arabia.

Itinerary

Day 1: Meet up in the afternoon or evening and drive to farm or camping spot

Stop At: Airport, Tabuk Saudi Arabia
Pick up from Tabuk Airport
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Tabouk, Tabouk, Tabuk Province
Drive to a local farm where you will be spending the night.
Grab food on the way to the farm and eat in the city or take it away and eat at the farm.
Relax at the farm in the evening or take a taxi back to the city and visit the local markets or malls.
Duration: 1 hour

• Dinner: Eat out in the city on the way to the accommodation or take away and it at the accommodation.

Day 2: Heritage Sites Visit and Hike

Stop At: Maqnah, Maqnah, Tabuk Province
Magna is considered by the locals to be the place where Moses met his wife, Sephora, one of the seven daughters of Jethro, the Midian priest. The daughters were at a well in the desert, trying to water their sheep when chivalrous Moses scared off some bullying shepherds who were harassing the girls.

Stop At: Wadi Tayyib Al Ism, Maqnah Saudi Arabia
Take a walk through the Elim oasis and visit the Wadi Tayyib Ism.
Check out the remaining springs which date all the way from Moses' time.

Day 3: Heritage Sites Visit and Red Sea Swimming

Stop At: Magha’er Shuaib, F2Q3+583, Al Bad' 49786, Saudi Arabia
This place is similar to Petra in Jordan or Mada'ain Saleh in Saudi Arabia. It is believed that one of the caves is Jethro's tomb, who was the father-in-law of Moses.
Visit the caves and the heritage sites around al Bad'
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Split Rock of Horeb, 49847, Saudi Arabia
Visit and hike up to Split Rock. The story says God Moses to strike a rock and water will come out of it to quench the thirst of the people.
See ancient petroglyphs
Duration: 5 hours

Stop At: Al Suaedni Well, F2P9+5GV, Al Bad' 49824, Saudi Arabia
Visit the well where it is believed that Moses took care of Jethro's daughters and helped them take out water for their sheep.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Ras Al Hasha Saudi Arabia
Walk on the coast of the Red Sea, look at the mountains across the gulf into Egypt and imagine how millions of people would have crossed the sea on dry land. Enjoy swimming and snorkeling (gear must be rented in advance)

Day 4: Heritage Sites Visit and Hike

Stop At: Jebel al Lawz 49882, Saudi Arabia
Visit Mount Al Lawz with its peaks, Al Lawz and Maqla. This mountain range is believed to be referred to in the Exodus Story as the old Mount Sinai and Mount Horeb Sinai Graveyard
You will see the camp where Moses and his people stayed and an ancient graveyard.

Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Golden Calf Altar, 49877, Saudi Arabia
At the bottom of the mountain, you will be able to see the Golden Calf Altar on top of with once was erected a Golden Calf (later this was burned to ashes) and then drive to a nearby site to see a second altar with stone pillars (only a few pieces are left of the initial 12 marble pillars) which Moses build before climbing up the mountain to receive the instructions to build the Tabernacle. From this altar, you can climb up to what is believed to be Elijah's cave, a hike we only advise the fit ones to do.

Day 5: Tabuk City Tour and Departure

Stop At: Tabouk, Tabouk, Tabuk Province
Go on a Tabuk City Tour and visit the Tabuk Castle, the Hijaz Railway Station, and the local markets to shop for souvenirs.
Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Airport, Tabuk Saudi Arabia
Drop off at the airport.
Duration: 30 minutes
